01  The catch

Free is the part everyone squints at.

Fair enough. Here is the whole answer. Selling a website is the expensive part of a website. The discovery call, the proposal, the follow-ups, the chasing — that is what turns a small job into a five-figure one.

So we skip it. We build the thing and let it make its own case. Plenty of people look and say no, and that is fine — those days still cost us less than the chasing would. The ones who say yes have already seen exactly what they are getting.

That is the entire model. There is no second shoe.

What free does not mean

  • Our name does not appear on your site. Anywhere.
  • No ads, no banners, no “built by” line in your footer.
  • No setup fee that turns up later. Zero means zero.
  • The domain is registered in your name, not ours.
  • You sign nothing in order to see it.
  • Your details are not sold or passed on to anyone.

02  Which one are you

You are one of two people.

You already have a website.

Then you already know what is wrong with it. It crawls on a phone, the photos are ten years old, and it never quite says what you actually do. We measure it first and tell you plainly what that is costing you — then we rebuild it, your words, your work, laid out so somebody can decide.

  1. Send us the address. That is the whole brief.
  2. We measure it: load time, what Google can read, what a phone really shows.
  3. We rebuild every page of it, not just the front.
  4. You put them side by side and judge.

You do not have one yet.

A Facebook page, a truck and word of mouth. That works right up until it does not — until someone searches your trade and your town and finds three competitors and no you.

  1. Answer six short questions. Four minutes.
  2. We build the whole site from your answers.
  3. You tell us what to change. As often as you like.

03  What gets built

Not a business card with a phone number on it.

A page that does the job of your best estimator: answers the question, earns the trust, gets the call.

Everything included in a build
01Every page, not a one-pagerOne page for each service you sell, one for each town you cover, plus contact and about.
02Written for youIn the words your customers actually use, not the words an agency likes.
03Your photographsYour jobs, your crew, your trucks. If you have none yet, we will say so rather than fill it with stock.
04A tool built for your tradeA fence footage estimator, a roof pitch check, a service-area lookup — whatever answers the question that stops people calling.
05Reviews where they landYour Google reviews placed at the moment someone is deciding, not buried on a testimonials page.
06Fast on a phoneUnder a second on an ordinary signal, which is where nearly all of your visitors are.
07Readable by GoogleReal page titles, real structure, a sitemap, and your business marked up so search engines can read it.
08Your own domainRegistered in your name from the first day. If you leave, it leaves with you.
09Email on your own nameYour name at your own domain — not a free address printed on the side of your van.
10Edits, handledReply to an email and we make the change. No ticket system, no hourly rate, no limit.

If something on this list does not fit your trade, we swap it for something that does. The list is what we build, not what we sell.

04  Side by side

The difference is not decoration.

Left, the kind of site a lot of trade businesses are still paying for. Right, what we hand over. Same trade, same information, same phone.

The left-hand side is a mock-up we built for the comparison. It is not any real company's website — putting somebody else's business up as the bad example is not something we would do.

05  What it costs

Nothing, until you decide to keep it.

Or own it

$2,990one payment

No monthly bill, ever. The site and the domain are yours outright.

Shown in US dollars. Sales tax added where it applies.

06  Who builds it

A workshop. Nobody on commission.

There is no account manager here, no pipeline, and nobody whose job is to follow up with you. There is a studio that builds websites for trade businesses, and an inbox a person actually reads.

We are a registered German company, and every legal detail — registered name, register number and address — is in the imprint, one click away.

07  Fair questions

Straight answers.

Is it genuinely free to have it built?

Yes. Nothing to have it built, nothing to have it changed. You pay only if you decide to put it live on your domain and keep it.

So what is the catch?

That most people will look and say no. We have accepted that. Building it costs us less than selling it would, so we would rather spend the days building.

How long does it take?

Days, not months. When we accept your request we give you a date, and we hold it.

What if I want changes?

You ask, and we make them. Which is the whole reason you see it before you decide anything. Send your list — wording, colors, photos, your logo, a section you want added. No limit and no charge, before or after you keep it.

Do I own the site and the domain?

The domain is registered in your name from the start. On the one-time price the site is yours outright. On the monthly price you are renting the site, and the domain still stays with you if you cancel.

Do you work outside the United States?

Yes. We build in eleven languages across the US, Ireland, the UK and most of Europe. In euro countries the price is 89 € a month or 2,590 € once.

What do you need from me to start?

Your trade, the area you cover, and either your current website address or six short answers. Four minutes, and no card.

Who actually builds it?

Umbolement UG (haftungsbeschränkt), a registered German company, HRB 313937 at the Munich register. The address and number are on this page and in the imprint.

Send the request. See what turns up.

You end up with a finished website to look at and nothing attached to it.
